Deck Builds & Replacements
With the increase in flexible work over the past few years, many homeowners are spending more time at home than they ever have before. As a result, their outdoor living space has become as important as their indoor living space, especially during good weather. The Reilly Brothers Construction team helps homeowners to enhance their relaxation and entertainment space with a deck designed for their lifestyle, using a variety of materials to select the best fit for their unique needs.

Why add a deck or porch to your home?
Adding a deck or porch to your home can instantly increase your home's value and create a comfortable space to enjoy the outdoors. We often work with clients to add decks and porches to their homes, ADUs, sheds and above ground pools.
Why replace an existing deck or porch?
Many homeowners we work with have existing decks or porches built from pressure-treated lumber that has failed over the years as water has infiltrated the boards. By demoing the existing deck or porch to replacing it with newer, more durable material, homeowners gain enhanced safety and extended longevity from the structure.
Replacing an old pressure-treated deck with a new mahogany deck
We replaced this 20-year-old pressure-treated deck with new pressure-treated framing and mahogany decking. As you can see, this decking was in bad shape with peeling paint and moldy deck boards, but it was even worse underneath with joists and ledger boards rotted nearly all the way through! We recommended mahogany in this particular space because it can stay wet after rainstorms and is often shaded during the day. The strong mahogany wood will stand up well against the damp environment.
Before & During Renovation
After Renovation
Replacing a dated pressure-treated deck with a new ipe and cedar deck
This homeowner wanted to modernize their 15-year-old deck with a fresh and classic wood look. We demolished the existing deck and built a new pressure-treated frame, but used OC Lumber for the stair stringers to enhance durability. The deck boards are ipe (a Brazilian hardwood) and the skirt surrounding the new deck was done in cedar. These railings are from TimberTech and feature lighting along the handrail and at the base of each post. What was previously a basic backyard deck is now a beautiful statement feature of this home and a relaxing place to spend summer days and evenings.

Upgrading this shed with a deck and ramp
This homeowner wanted to upgrade their shed with a strong ramp to easily support moving a heavy mower in and out of storage, a deck to enhance the overall aesthetic and a skirt around the perimeter to keep the critters out and create a finished look.
